Administrative Committees

Administrative committees are formed by the Executive Council, in support of specific lines of administrative responsibility. Each administrative committee is led by an Officer appointed by the Executive Council.

In general, if a committee’s tasks are directly tied to the core responsibilities of an Executive Council office, the holder of that office will also be the committee’s officer.

Additional roles in a committee may be determined by that committee’s particular tasks, by relationships between these tasks and those of other committees or Association roles, or according to other factors. These roles may include:

  • Deputy officers, supporting the Officer, acting as backup, learning the committee’s tasks, and/or serving as an additional keeper of knowledge regarding those tasks.
  • Observers, to be kept informed of all actions and decisions.
  • Additional roles specific to the committee’s tasks.
